Francesca Scorsese, the daughter of legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, is speaking out against online trolls after receiving hateful comments about her appearance on social media. The 26-year-old aspiring actress shared a video on her TikTok account, explaining that she has faced intense criticism since announcing her role in season two of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

In the clip, Francesca said, "I've seen some of the worst comments about me ever." Despite facing criticism for being a "nepo baby" (a term for someone who inherits a position or privilege due to their family's connections) all her life, Francesca admitted that these comments felt much more personal and hurtful.

The actress explained, "I understand that I have doors opened for me because of my father. But I'm still trying to do the work, I'm still going hard and being passionate and creating." She also called out people who spread negativity online, saying, "If you go on people's videos and seek out negativity, you are a very, very sad person."

Francesca revealed that people had called her "fat," "ugly," compared her to a "fridge," and even called her "Miss Piggy." She further noted, "I get it - I'm not the most beautiful girl in the world. I'm not the skinniest girl in the whole world. I'm chubby, I know it. But what the f*** does it matter?"

The actress also spoke about the impact of negative behavior on social media on people's mental health. "This is the kind of thing that can cause people to lose their lives. Your words have power behind them," she said.

It's worth mentioning that Martin welcomed Francesca with his second wife at the age of 56 and called her a "special blessing" in his life. He is also father to two older daughters, Cathy, 60, and Domenica, 49, whom he welcomed with former wives Laraine Marie Brennan and Julia Cameron, respectively.
