Marvel Studios' eagerly anticipated spinoff of "WandaVision," titled "Agatha," is poised to send shivers down spines, according to a top-tier studio executive. Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios, recently revealed in an interview on the "Official Marvel Podcast" (via The Playlist) that "Agatha" will initially captivate audiences with its merriment, but soon enough, the terror will ensnare them.

"The series 'Agatha' is undoubtedly engaging, yet it harbors a sinister side that will leave viewers trembling," teased Winderbaum. "She's a fascinating anti-hero who lures you in with the joy of Halloween, but before you can blink, you'll find yourself on the verge of tears."

"This is a Marvel-branded frightfest, a veritable Halloween spectacle," he continued. "The stakes are high in this series, offering a thrilling yet perilous ride."

Kathryn Hahn takes the lead in this mysterious series, reprising her Emmy-nominated role as Agatha Harkness. While plot details remain shrouded in secrecy, Hahn will be joined by an ensemble cast including Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. The show picks up the narrative threads from "WandaVision," where Agatha Harkness (Hahn) was rendered powerless by Scarlet Witch, alias Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). The spinoff is spearheaded by "WandaVision" showrunner Jac Schaeffer.

Winderbaum also briefly delved into the upcoming limited series "Daredevil: Born Again," featuring the triumphant return of Charlie Cox, who made fleeting appearances in MCU projects such as "Spider-Man: No Way Home," "Echo," and "She-Hulk."

"These characters have evolved. The universe has transformed," said Winderbaum. "Matt [Murdock] and Wilson [Fisk] have undergone changes, and their characters will clash in unprecedented ways. Murderous intentions are no longer the sole motivation. A complex political game is now in play."
