Meg Ryan, the beloved Hollywood icon, is poised to grace the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival with not just her presence but a series of captivating cinematic moments that celebrate her illustrious career. Honored with the prestigious Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award, this accolade recognizes her invaluable contributions to the world of film, both as an actress and a visionary filmmaker.

As part of the festivities, Ryan will personally introduce a special retrospective screening of her 1998 romantic comedy masterpiece, 'You've Got Mail,' at the iconic Coca-Cola Open Air Cinema. This reunion with the beloved film, which co-starred Tom Hanks and premiered at the festival's fifth edition 25 years ago, promises to evoke nostalgic memories and heartwarming emotions.

Furthermore, Ryan will engage in a masterclass, expertly moderated by esteemed Bosnian director Danis Tanović, renowned for his Oscar-winning film 'No Man's Land.' This intimate session will offer insights into her creative process, allowing festival-goers a rare glimpse into the mind of a multi-talented artist.

Adding another layer of excitement, Ryan's latest directorial endeavor, 'What Happens Later,' starring David Duchovny, will also make its debut at the festival. This poignant film, written and helmed by the legendary star of 'When Harry Met Sally,' marks her second foray behind the camera and showcases her growth as a filmmaker.
