Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Step Out for Date Night

Published: Oct 10 2025

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a truly regal and heartwarming date night. The power couple graced the third annual World Mental Health Day Gala hosted by Project Healthy Minds in New York City on October 9, and their evening out was nothing short of royal splendor. They were bestowed with the prestigious Humanitarians of the Year Award in recognition of their commendable efforts through their Archewell Foundation.

For this glamorous occasion, Meghan exuded elegance in a sleek black suit, paired with a chic black handbag, a dazzling gold link necklace, and sparkling diamond stud earrings. Meanwhile, Prince Harry—proud father to their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4—complemented his wife's sophistication, donning a sharp black suit, a crisp white button-down shirt, and a striking black-and-white tie.

Nearly three weeks prior to the Project Healthy Minds gala, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a notable appearance at the One805LIVE! 2025 concert, a charitable event aimed at raising funds for first responders. The concert was held at the lavish Summerland estate of Kevin Costner in California.

While their night at the gala marked the latest in a series of rare and cherished date nights, Prince Harry, a former senior member of the royal family, has been actively engaged in other familial matters. Most recently, he shared a heartfelt reunion with his father, King Charles III, on September 10—their first encounter in 19 long months. Following this poignant meeting, the 40-year-old Prince Harry revealed to The Guardian in an interview published on September 14 that "the focus" of his upcoming year "really has to be on my dad." He also underscored his aspiration to bring Archie and Lilibet to the U.K. to meet the monarch, who disclosed last year that he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, adding, "This week has definitely brought that closer."

Back in May, after the Court of Appeals ruled against his request to reinstate his U.K. security, Prince Harry offered a rare glimpse into his strained relationship with his family and why he harbored hope that the icy dynamic might thaw. "I would love reconciliation with my family," he confessed to the BBC. "There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore; life is precious."

"I don’t know how much time my father has left," he continued, "He won’t speak to me because of this security issue, but it would be nice to reconcile." And it appears, with their amicable meeting in September, they might indeed be on the path to mending fences.
