Meghan has made a tradition of honoring International Women’s Day by sharing special moments with her followers. In 2025, she shared a previously unseen snapshot of Lilibet with Harry, 41, in a carousel of photos celebrating the women in her life and those who help to "uplift" them. She wrote, "Happy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day."

The year prior, Meghan celebrated the day by appearing on a panel at SXSW in Austin, Texas, called "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen." She was joined by Katie Couric, Brooke Shields, and author and sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen. During the conversation, Meghan recounted her childhood experience of writing a letter to Procter & Gamble to challenge a dish soap ad that implied housework was solely for women.

She said, "I don’t think it’s right for kids to grow up thinking these things, that just mom does everything." Her efforts paid off as Procter & Gamble ultimately changed the tagline of the commercial from “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans” to “People all over America….”

During the panel discussion, Meghan also praised her husband for being a true partner and supporter of women. "I'm fortunate in that, among the privileges I have in my life, I have an incredible partner," she said. "My husband is such a hands-on dad and such a supporter of me and my family. That I don't take for granted. That is a real blessing."
