Mia Goth has shared a poignant behind-the-scenes moment that involved her daughter and co-star Jacob Elordi. The actress, who shares a three-year-old daughter with Shia LaBeouf, revealed in a new interview with W Magazine that the child's curiosity helped inspire her performance in Frankenstein.

Goth recalled a moment when Elordi walked past in full prosthetics as the "Creature," and her daughter's unwavering curiosity was a stark contrast to the expected fear. "He walked past, and my daughter ran up to him," Goth said. "She wasn't scared at all, just curious." She added, "What struck me was how intrigued she was by him. There was no fear."
That innocent interaction seemed to stay with Goth throughout filming. "That interaction ended up informing, a little bit, my approach to Elizabeth and how she meets the Creature," she explained.
Elsewhere in the interview, Goth admitted that she firmly believes in ghosts and is eager to encounter one herself. "I do. I really want to see a ghost," she said. "Every time someone tells me, 'There's a ghost in here,' I try to stay up late and see what happens. Nothing ever happens," Goth joked, adding that perhaps trying less might finally bring a supernatural visitor.
This anecdote not only showcases Goth's motherly bond with her daughter but also highlights the power of inspiration from the most unexpected sources, as well as her ardent fascination with the paranormal.
