Michael B. Jordan's fascination with vampires in cinematic history is unmistakable, as he recently attended the Gotham Film Awards in New York City on December 1, 2025, and raved about Eddie Murphy's role in the horror-comedy Vampire in Brooklyn, declaring it his all-time favorite. This revelation comes at a time when Jordan himself is garnering attention for his vampire work in Sinners.

When asked to pick his favorite vampire movie and character, Jordan exclaimed, "Vampire in Brooklyn. The world's last vampire is about to encounter something infinitely more terrifying than himself: Brooklyn." In the film, Jordan played twins named Elijah Moore, aka Smoke, and Elias Moore, better known as Stack, who confront vampires in a period story setting. This real-life casting and on-screen action make his appreciation for different takes on the monster understandable.

The official synopsis for Vampire in Brooklyn, starring Eddie Murphy and becoming Jordan's favorite vampire story, reads, "Detective Rita Veder is assigned to a baffling serial murder case. After examining the crime scene—a corpse-filled ship found adrift at sea—she meets Maximilian, a smooth-talking Caribbean playboy determined to romance her."

Meanwhile, Sinners, released in April this year and critically appreciated by viewers, is available to stream on Max and to buy on Prime Video, Fandango At Home, and Apple TV. The movie follows twin brothers trying to leave their troubled lives behind and return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
