Michelle Keegan candidly shared her apprehensions about returning to the set of the new ITV series "The Blame" after becoming a mother for the first time. The 38-year-old English actress, along with her husband Mark Wright, embraced parenthood on March 6, 2025, when their first child, a daughter named Palma Elizabeth Wright, arrived.
Keegan, who took a break from acting to cherish her new role as a mother, is now back in the game as detective DI Emma Crane in the upcoming crime thriller TV series. The proud mom appeared on the ITV showcase alongside host Graham Norton, where she praised her co-star for being "supportive" on the set of "The Blame."

She candidly shared, "Returning to work after having a baby is quite daunting." However, she added, "The production team was incredibly supportive, and I felt so looked after—it was like working with family."
When asked about her chemistry with Douglas Booth, who plays DI Tom Radley in the series, the "Coronation Street" star said, "Our relationship was quite organic. We hit it off straight away and were doing quizzes in the makeup chair. That's how we bonded—through quizzes and food."
It's worth mentioning that "The Blame," which doesn't have a release date yet, revolves around the story of detectives Erin Crane and Tom Radley as they investigate the murder of a teenage figure skater in a serene town. "As they delve into the investigation, a forbidden romance blossoms, but the case takes a surprising turn when Erin discovers evidence that makes her partner the prime suspect," the synopsis concludes.
