Dolly Parton is poised to return with a resounding boom, defying recent health setbacks that have raised concerns in the hearts of her fans. Her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, assured them that the country music icon is eagerly looking forward to resuming her regular activities with a sparkle in her eye. "She's always gonna keep the show going," Miley shared with Entertainment Tonight in an interview published on December 1. "The show must go on, and she's thrilled to get back to work."

At 79, Dolly has dedicated her recent months to nurturing her well-being. She skipped an event at her beloved Dollywood amusement park in September due to complications from a kidney stone, opting for a pre-recorded video instead. "Turned out it gave me an infection," she said in a video shown during the ceremony. "The doctor said, 'You don't need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.'"

The "9 to 5" singer subsequently sat out several appearances in the weeks that followed and postponed a series of concerts in Las Vegas, scheduled for December 2025, to September 2026. "I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see," she shared on Instagram in September. "You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you."

Despite these health challenges, Dolly has remained upbeat and even celebrated Thanksgiving last month with a festive video greeting for her fans. "I am so thankful for all of you and for the memories that we've shared through the years," she said in the November 27 Instagram video. "So happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and just know that I will always love you."
