Exactly one year after tying the knot, the "Stranger Things" sensation and the model, who happens to be the son of Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi, have decided to embark on a new journey by welcoming an additional member to their beloved family. "This summer, we joyfully embraced our little angel through adoption," the couple gleefully announced in an Instagram post dated August 21. "We are overwhelmed with excitement as we embark on this exquisite new phase of parenthood, cherishing our peace and privacy." They affectionately concluded, "And thus, our trio is complete."
This heartwarming family update from Millie and Jake comes five months after the "Enola Holmes" actress opened up about their future family aspirations during an appearance on the "SmartLess" podcast in March. "My mom became a mother at 21, and my dad was 19," the 21-year-old revealed. "This has been my aspiration ever since before Jake came into my life. I've always dreamed of being a mom, just like my mom was to me."
"Jake understands how deeply this matters to me," she continued. "While I aspire to solidify my career as an actress and producer, I also realize the profound significance of starting a family for me personally."
Though Millie was eager to bring a new life into their world, Jake, 23, wanted to wait until they were married. "That was his priority," she elaborated. "And for me, having a family, a big family, has always been a dream. I'm one of four siblings, and so is he. So, having a large family is undoubtedly in our future plans."
When considering the expansion of their family, Millie and Jake were open to all possibilities, adoption included. "To me, there's no difference between having a biological child and adopting," she clarified. "My home is a sanctuary of love, open to anyone and anything. That's our philosophy. Jake and I believe that our doors are always open, filled with warmth and energy."
The Bongiovi-Brown household will undoubtedly be brimming with love, especially with their newest addition. Moreover, she'll be welcomed into a home teeming with farm animals. "My animals create quite a racket, and it's a bit messy, with my dogs being absolutely疯狂," she enthusiastically shared with Vanity Fair in March. "There's laughter, passion, excitement, and a vibrant energy that fills the place. It's chaotic, but that's where I thrive."
