**Kamolwan Chanago** is smiling through it all—literally. After the Miss Grand Thailand contestant went viral when her fake teeth accidentally slipped out during the preliminary round of the pageant, she playfully nodded towards that memorable moment once again. As she introduced herself during the contest's finals on March 28, Kamolwan first kept her natural teeth before slipping on her flipper—or denture retainer—and playfully winking at the cameras. The 18-year-old represented Pathum Thani, a Thailand province north of Bangkok, and competed among 77 contestants for the Miss Grand Thailand crown. The prize, however, was ultimately awarded to **Pattama Jitsawat** of Chonburi.

Nevertheless, Kamolwan became a worldwide phenomenon during the viral teeth-slipping moment at the contest’s preliminary round on March 25. In a livestream video from the round, Kamolwan began to have difficulty speaking before her flipper slipped out of place. Despite the gaffe, Kamolwan maintained her poise and finished her moment after turning away from the camera to readjust her fake teeth. She then went on to flash a toothy grin as she made her way off stage. Miss Grand International Pageant organizers went on to laud her for handling the situation “with professionalism and composure.”
Indeed, the Miss Grand International organization was floored by Kamolwan’s commitment. “The event continued smoothly without disruption,” the organizers added in a statement to **People**. “We are proud of her confidence and stage presence throughout the competition.”
Kamolwan is far from the first performer to handle an on-stage mishap with ease. Stars like **LeAnn Rhimes** and **Taylor Swift** have even had teeth-specific malfunctions, with the latter pop star once chipping her tooth while on stage during the **Red** tour in 2013.
“I really quickly pulled my mic up to sing and basically uppercut punched myself in the tooth,” Taylor recalled to **Rolling Stone** at the time. “And then part of it fell onto the stage and I was like, ‘Oh, I wonder how bad that was. I wonder which tooth that is and I wonder how bad that is.’”
As she put it about the minor tooth break, “It's just gonna be a little bit jagged, I guess.”
