Naomi Watts embodies the essence of her role with effortless grace. On the set of Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series, "American Love Story," the 56-year-old actress seamlessly transformed into the iconic former First Lady, Jackie Kennedy. On August 4, Naomi channeled the late Kennedy matriarch's timeless elegance, pairing a long trench coat and dark sunglasses with a chic silk scarf tied stylishly around her head, as she worked alongside Paul Kelly, who portrayed her son, John F. Kennedy Jr. Paul, donning a sophisticated gray suit, added a touch of nonchalance by draping the jacket over his shoulders as they strolled arm-in-arm.

Later, Naomi showcased another facet of Jackie O, who wed shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis years following her husband John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. She shed the trench coat to reveal a pair of beige trousers and an elegant red sweater that perfectly complemented her scarf. Naomi's signature blonde locks were nowhere to be seen, replaced by a brunette wig peeking out from beneath her scarf, as she stood alongside Paul and Grace Gummer, who portrayed her daughter Caroline Kennedy.

While the series' details remain largely under wraps, it promises to shine a light on the romantic life of JFK Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, portrayed by Sarah Pidgeon, prior to their tragic deaths in a plane crash in 1999. However, as filming progresses, some members of the Kennedy family have voiced their concerns. Notably, Caroline's son Jack Schlossberg, grandson of Jackie and nephew of JFK Jr., criticized Ryan Murphy on Instagram, stating that despite being only 32, he did possess memories of his late uncle.

"Hey @ryanmurphyproductions," Jack wrote on July 23. "My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and 'the nudist,' picking me up from school in his Pontiac convertible." He continued, "More memories are passed down from stories, like the time he locked himself out of a car in an intersection and asked the guy screaming at him if he could borrow a golf club to smash the window to get the keys, and then did it."

Despite this backlash, Sarah, the series' star, couldn't contain her excitement about portraying Jack's aunt and one of the nation's most beloved public figures. "We're just getting started," the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actress told E! News in July. "It's been so exciting. I feel very honored to take on this role and learn about such an incredible woman who's endured for close to 25 years now." She added, "I feel very grateful."
