NFL offensive lineman Ben Cleveland has initiated divorce proceedings against his wife, barely more than two weeks after his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI), as revealed by TMZ Sports. Court documents, obtained by us, reveal that the Baltimore Ravens guard filed for divorce in Baldwin County, Georgia, on February 28th, a mere 16 days after finding himself behind bars on allegations of drinking and driving in the very same county.
Remarkably, the divorce papers make no reference to his recent arrest. Instead, Cleveland cited "adultery" as the reason for seeking to part ways with Kaitlyn Terrell Cleveland. In the documents, he also stated that they tied the knot on July 21st, 2022, and formally separated on or around December 29th, 2024 – a date that appears to be a typo given the timeline of events. Attempts to reach Ben's attorney for comment have been unsuccessful thus far.
As previously reported, the football player was incarcerated just two days shy of Valentine's Day last month. Authorities claimed he blew a breathalyzer reading of .178 during a traffic stop, earning him two citations: one for DUI – alcohol, and another for failure to maintain his lane. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 315 pounds, the 26-year-old, who has been with the Ravens since 2021 after being drafted by the team in the third round, is poised to enter free agency when the new league year commences later this month.
