Prior to the curtain raising, the "Camp Rock" veteran opened up to People Magazine, sharing, "For me, the challenge lies in the fact that numerous individuals hold this show in high esteem, having portrayed these roles across various productions, whether in high school, college, or elsewhere. It's those who have paved the way that I feel the most intimidated to follow in their footsteps."

Nick further elaborated, "However, I believe that's the allure of storytelling, of being an artist and an actor—embarking on grand adventures, taking immense risks, and baring your soul to the world. And I cherish it. Despite the occasional wave of intimidation, I find it profoundly rewarding to venture out, to throw caution to the wind, and see where the journey takes me."

In this musical, which delves into the viewpoints of aspiring novelist Jamie Wellerstein and struggling actress Cathy Hiatt across diverse timelines, Nick Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, stars alongside Adrienne Warren.

The "Love Again" actor revealed to the outlet that he has been making the daily trek to the theater for work, finding solace and joy in the interactions with his fans who eagerly approach him "constantly" during his commutes. "It serves as a wonderful morale booster before taking the stage. Meeting people on the street is a delightful experience. Most people are kind-hearted," he remarked, painting a vivid picture of his daily encounters.
