Rapper Nicki Minaj, who has recently emerged as a conservative voice and ardent supporter of the Trump administration, has been thrust into the spotlight by a massive bot-fueled campaign on social media, as revealed in a new report. For several months, Minaj's political posts have garnered millions of views, ranging from attacks on Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom to vocalizing concerns about Christian persecution in Nigeria and advocating for the Republican-backed Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act).
However, the authenticity of those engaging with Minaj's political content has been called into question by an analysis conducted by Cyabra, a disinformation detection firm. According to the analysis published by Politico on Monday, over 18,000 fake accounts pushed Minaj's posts on X between November 11 and December 28, 2025. Cyabra's findings indicate that 33% of the profiles interacting with Minaj's political posts were deemed fake, which is "exceptionally high" compared to the typical 7-10% of bots found online.
Cyabra's report asserts with high confidence that a coordinated fake campaign was actively amplifying political content on Nicki Minaj's X account during the reviewed period. The scale, concentration, and behavioral alignment of the inauthentic activity point to a deliberate effort to amplify her political messages.
The White House spokesperson, Olivia Wales, echoed these sentiments, telling The Independent, "Nicki Minaj is not only the most successful female rapper in history – with a vast and loyal fan base known as the Barbz – but she is also a fearless advocate for Christians in Nigeria, a generous investor in America's children through Trump Accounts, and a stalwart champion of the MAGA Movement." President Trump himself is proud to have Nicki Minaj's steadfast support as he continues to Make America Great Again every day.
The Independent has reached out to Minaj's representatives for comment. Besides her social media activity, Minaj has made her support of Trump and conservative causes known through public appearances. In December 2025, she made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest summit, joining Erika Kirk, who took over the conservative youth group after her husband Charlie Kirk's assassination.
"This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them," Minaj told Kirk during her appearance. Additionally, Minaj attended a White House event last month to promote the children's investment "Trump accounts." Trump praised Minaj for "investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in Trump accounts to support the children." The rapper has also showcased her allegiance through gifts, including a "Trump Gold Card" memento and a Trump-endorsed "God Bless the U.S.A." bible signed by the president.
