Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata's latest date night was a dream scenario. As they walked hand-in-hand down the carpet for the New York City premiere of Prime Video's Spider-Noir on May 13, they were nothing but smiles as they posed for the cameras. The 62-year-old, who shares August Francesca Coppola Cage, aged 3, with Riko, wore a crisp black suit with a blue dotted tie, while the 31-year-old sported a white shirt with black lace covering the sleeves, layered with a black dress.
Set in 1930s New York City, Spider-Noir stars Nicolas as the titular aging private investigator and superhero. It's his first lead TV role and the latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise. The premiere served as a rare date night for Nicolas and Riko, who welcomed their daughter in September 2022. As the actor previously shared, her name comes from her late grandfather and Nicolas' father, August Floyd Coppola, who died in 2009.
"Her name, because of 'Across the Universe,' is gonna be Lennon Augie—Augie for my father," he told Kelly Clarkson in an interview months before August was born. "I'll call her Lenny for short." And August is Nicolas' youngest child, as he also shares Weston Coppola Cage, aged 35, with ex Christina Fulton and Kal-El Coppola Cage, aged 20, with ex Alice Kim.
The Face/Off star previously opened up about having a unique blended family, saying parenting each of his children has bred "different experiences." "Each one has a different mother," Nicolas told The New Yorker in an interview published in July 2024. "It's not what I had originally thought would happen when I fell in love or got married—that I would have three different children with three different moms—but nonetheless that's what's happened. So every child is different. There's a different kind of level of attention."
