Liam Gallagher has issued a heartfelt apology for employing a racial slur in a social media posting earlier this week, stirring up quite a commotion. The Oasis frontman took to platform X on Tuesday to pen his remorse for a now-deleted Monday post that included derogatory language aimed at mocking East Asian individuals, according to The Independent.

In his apology, he penned, "Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet; it wasn't intentional. You know I love you all, and I do not discriminate. Peace and love, LG x." Meanwhile, the original offensive post on X (still accessible via screenshots) featured the racial slur, prompting one user to respond, "Liam, you can't say that." Gallagher replied inquisitively, "Why?" to which the user responded, "Because it's racist." The singer then tersely wrote back, "Behave."

Gallagher's controversial post emerged just ahead of Oasis's long-anticipated reunion tour, which kicks off in Wales tomorrow. The English rock band announced the tour last September, first unveiling dates for the U.K., followed shortly by dates in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The band recently revealed that they would also be releasing an accompanying film directed by Steven Knight, tying in seamlessly with their concerts.

The Gallagher brothers' relationship has been notoriously tumultuous in the past, with the group officially disbanding 15 years ago. Consequently, their reunion tour has emerged as one of the most eagerly anticipated concert tours of 2025. Following two shows in Wales, Oasis will play ten concerts in England, three in Scotland, and two in Ireland before finally embarking on the North American leg in Toronto on August 24th.
