Offset is expressing his gratitude for his swift recovery after being shot outside a Florida casino in early April. In the April 24 episode of the "Creators Inc. Podcast," recorded just six days after the ordeal, the rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, sat down with Andy Bachman and spoke candidly about how he was able to return to his normal life so quickly.

When the host expressed surprise at Offset's rapid return to daily life despite being shot, the rapper replied that he was "blessed" to still be able to move. Reflecting on the experience, Offset shared, "People get shot every day. You have to keep pushing. Like the Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this s*** pushing."
The hip-hop star even performed onstage at the University of Arkansas's "Rowfest" just two days after being discharged from the hospital. The "Open It Up" singer explained, "The show never stops at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to still be able to move, so I'm still moving. The grind doesn't stop, bro. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me or anything like that." He continued, "I'm blessed. I can keep pushing. So why would I just sit down? I have to keep pushing. I have to keep going."
Andy then asked about his injury, to which Offset replied, "I just got hit in my hip." As of recent developments after the incident, authorities have not yet charged anyone, but fellow rapper Lil Tjay was briefly detained at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct before being released the same day.
In his first public statement after the incident, the Migos member thanked fans for their support and revealed that he is focused on recovery, family, and returning to music.
