Daisy Spencer, Olivia Rodrigo's touring guitarist, has recently disclosed a heartwarming anecdote that showcases the singer's compassionate demeanor. During her guest appearance on The StageLeft podcast on June 30th, Daisy recounted her experiences working alongside Olivia.
"Throughout the Guts World Tour, Olivia and our tour manager, Marty Hom, ensured that accessible and complimentary therapy was available to every member of the touring crew," unveiled the 31-year-old lead guitarist, who has garnered a Grammy for her contributions. She emphasized that such an initiative was unprecedented in her professional journey.
Daisy elaborated, "This rekindled my appreciation for therapy, as I had neglected it for quite some time. Suddenly, I was presented with an array of exceptional therapists at no cost, which I eagerly took full advantage of." She further exclaimed, "Honestly, this was one of the most incredible occurrences during our tour."
"Seriously, providing accessible free therapy is one of the most generous gifts you can give to people, especially considering its often steep price tag," she added, speaking from the heart as Olivia's guitarist.
Elsewhere in the interview, Daisy delved into how free therapy had transformed her life. "It's truly a blessing. Being able to delve into one's inner self with the guidance of a professional who helps unveil hidden aspects of your personality that you might otherwise struggle to access is invaluable," she stressed.
Admitting openly, Daisy said, "Therapy has gifted me the ability to confront and articulate experiences from my childhood that desperately needed a voice." Ultimately, she described Olivia as "the most dreamy boss of all time."
