Paris Hilton candidly opened up about the traumatic experience of her sex tape leak in her documentary, "Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir." Recently, she appeared on the podcast "On Purpose with Jay Shetty," where she discussed her journey to becoming the person she aspired to be. During the interview, Hilton described the public circulation of her intimate recording as a deeply painful and violating experience.

On Jay Shetty's podcast, Paris Hilton spoke candidly about the damage caused by the leak of her sex tape. The host shared how she had said in the documentary that "the release of the sex tape was the most painful and violating experience of your life." He further added that it was "really amazing to watch you reflect on a moment that we all remember." Shetty noted how damaging it was for Hilton as a young woman and asked how her healing process looked after recovering from such a traumatic experience.
Hilton responded, "That was one of the most painful experiences I've ever gone through. It was painful to trust someone so much and then be violated like that. And to have the entire world watching, laughing, and talking about it." The 44-year-old shared that she was just 19 when the video was filmed and felt like she was being "villainized." She said that she was a child in love and trusted someone, thinking that what she did would never be seen by anyone. However, the world judged her for it, and doing the documentary helped her reflect on how a young girl was sexualized by adults and verbally and mentally abused.
Hilton expressed that things like this shouldn't happen to others and that she had gone through certain experiences in life so that others wouldn't have to.
