On March 7th, Friday, the 26-year-old singer took to her Instagram Stories to reveal she had faced "considerable backlash" for donning a sheer black dress at Stella McCartney's showcase during Paris Fashion Week. While filming from the comfort of her bed, Jackson mused, "We are animals, once governed by nature's laws. There existed a harmonious balance, beneficial for our planet, until humans declared our independence from animalhood, donning clothes and asserting dominion over other creatures." She further added, "This marked the inception of segregation, and spoiler alert, it's the reason things took a turn for the worse."
On March 5th, Jackson graced the Stella McCartney womenswear fall/winter show during Paris Fashion Week in an exquisite black off-the-shoulder sheer gown crafted from organza silk, a piece from the brand's Spring 2025 collection. In another Instagram Story snippet discussing her attire, she pondered, "I fail to comprehend why the human body elicits such discomfort in numerous individuals. It's merely a body... we constantly observe other animals in their natural state... we, too, are animals." She then exhorted her fans, "Don't let our bodies make you uneasy; there's nothing amiss with them."
"It's really not that big a deal... let's cease freaking out over nipples!" Jackson concluded. The daughter of the late legend Michael Jackson accompanied her video post with a photo of herself posing in yet another daring ensemble, a sheer black ruffled dress, tagging the fashion house Chloé.
In recent months, Jackson has embraced numerous bold, skin-revealing looks. In January, she stole the spotlight at the Paramount Golden Globe Nominee bash and the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios Golden Globes pre-party in a dazzling nude sheer dress paired with gold metallic heels and a tiny gold Chanel clutch.
