Patrick Dempsey is deeply grieving the tragic loss of his dear friend and former co-star, Eric Dane. In a heartfelt tribute to his late colleague, the 'Grey's Anatomy' actor spoke to NewsTalk FM on Tuesday, expressing his profound sadness.
"It's an unbearable pain to lose a family member," Patrick shared with the interviewer. "I lost my father at a young age, and my mother has also passed away. In the last year, several friends have also left us," the 60-year-old star added. "Eric was so loved and cherished. I'm sure he would be thrilled to know - and I know many people reached out to him before his passing to let him know - how much he was loved and how deeply he is missed."
For those who may not be aware, Eric breathed his last breath on February 19th, just months after announcing his battle with ALS.
"With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed away on Thursday afternoon, after a courageous fight against ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world," the late actor's family said in their statement.
"Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed and will always be remembered with love," the statement concluded.
