Paula, who has always been a fan of the former actress, expressed her shock and profound emotion at the 2026 American Music Awards on May 25 when she learned that Meghan had used her song. "I was in a state of shock and deeply touched," Paula told E News. "I never take anything for granted in my career, and I'm always humbled when little gems like this appear in my life. It's very touching."

Upon seeing her music featured on Meghan's social media Stories, Paula promptly hit the reshare button and reposted it to her own Instagram Story. "I just texted her back," Paula shared, praising Meghan and Harry's unseen wedding photos, "What beautiful pictures! Thank you so much for using my song."

On May 19, Meghan indeed posted an unseen image from their nuptials, which took place in 2019, along with the caption, "Eight years ago today."

Harry and Meghan have also welcomed two children, daughter Lilibet, now four, and son Archie, who will be seven soon.
