Tyson, a solitary cyclops who struggled to find his footing in the human world, holds a special place in the hearts of fans. Not only is he a charming underdog, but he also holds the distinction of being Percy's half-brother, a child of Poseidon (portrayed by Toby Stephens).

Author Rick Riordan himself introduced Diemer to the eager Comic-Con audience, expressing his delight in bringing Tyson's character to life through the actor's talents. "In the depths of 'The Sea of Monsters,' we encounter a shy yet endearing cyclops, Tyson, Percy's half-brother. Today, I am thrilled to present the artist who will breathe life into this remarkable character – Daniel Diemer. He will add a fresh dimension to Tyson, and I have no doubt that his portrayal will be nothing short of extraordinary," Riordan enthused.

Echoing the excitement, Diemer, appearing from the show's Vancouver sets, shared his own thrill and honor at taking on the role. Walker Scobell, who plays Percy, chimed in with enthusiasm, assuring fans, "You guys are gonna love him."

Season two promises to be a thrilling ride as Percy returns to Camp Half-Blood a year after the events of the first season, only to find his world in disarray. With his friendship with Annabeth evolving, the revelation of Tyson as his brother, Grover's mysterious disappearance, and the camp under siege by Kronos' forces, Percy's quest to restore order leads him on a perilous journey into the treacherous Sea of Monsters, where a fateful destiny awaits the son of Poseidon.

Diemer, fresh from his critically acclaimed role in Hulu's 'Under the Bridge,' and with credits including Netflix's 'The Midnight Club' and films like 'The Half of It,' 'Supercell,' and 'Little Brother,' brings a wealth of experience and talent to the table, promising to captivate audiences with his portrayal of Tyson.

Crafted by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, the series, produced by 20th Television, boasts an impressive roster of executive producers, including Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Bert Salke, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of The Gotham Group, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler, and Sarah Watson, ensuring that the adventure of Percy Jackson and his friends will be brought to life with unparalleled grandeur and depth.
