The cameras have rolled once more for the eagerly anticipated second season of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," yet amidst the hustle and bustle of production, its star-studded ensemble graced the stage at Disney's D23 fan extravaganza on Saturday, unveiling a tantalizing glimpse into the show's future by revealing some fresh faces joining the fray.

Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, and Leah Sava Jeffries, accompanied by series regulars Charlie Bushnell and Dior Goodjohn, as well as newcomer Daniel Diemer, who will embody the cyclops Tyson in the upcoming season, captivated the audience with a sneak peek into Season 2's adventures (watch it unfold below). As Percy (Scobell) grasped the reins of a thundering chariot, the cast unveiled the exciting additions to their ranks.

Entering the realm of the mystical with a bang, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho will grace the screen as the enigmatic Gray Sisters, proprietors of a peculiar taxi service – also known as the Chariot of Damnation. Bernhard embodies Anger, the impatient fare collector yearning for her turn with the singular eye. Schaal transforms into Tempest, the current holder of the eye, who uses its power to spy on heroes, unravel their futures, and mischievously poke fun at their romantic entanglements. Meanwhile, Cho steps into the shoes of Wasp, the taxi's deft driver, who embarks on wild rides with the demigods, navigating them towards the hallowed grounds of Camp Half-Blood.

Season two, rooted in the pages of "The Sea of Monsters," the second installment of Rick Riordan's captivating Percy Jackson saga and co-created/executive produced by the author himself, promises a thrilling odyssey. A year has passed since the events of Season 1, and Percy's return to Camp Half-Blood finds his world in disarray. His bond with Annabeth (Jeffries) evolves, he discovers a cyclops brother, Grover (Simhadri) vanishes, and the camp stands on the brink of invasion by Kronos' forces. Percy's quest to restore order propels him into uncharted territories and the treacherous Sea of Monsters, where an enigmatic destiny awaits him.

Riordan, alongside showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, along with an esteemed team including Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Bert Salke, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of The Gotham Group, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler, and Sarah Watson, steer the creative ship for this second season, ensuring a voyage filled with magic, adventure, and heart-pounding suspense.
