Pete Davidson and his beloved girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, simply cannot contain their affection as they embark on this thrilling journey of pregnancy together. On Saturday, August 9th, Hewitt, 29, captivated her Instagram Stories audience with snapshots from their recent poolside escapade. A snapshot adorned with a white heart emoji depicted the shirtless Davidson, 31, passionately kissing Hewitt, who radiated in a vibrant multicolored bikini top and dazzling gold hoop earrings, as they relaxed on an outdoor deck.

Earlier this year, Davidson and Hewitt publicly confessed their love for each other, and in July, they joyously announced that they were expecting their first child. Hewitt playfully disclosed their news through Instagram, sharing maternity photos where Davidson, an alumnus of Saturday Night Live, lovingly cradled her baby bump. Alongside the photos, she cheekily wrote, "Welp, now everyone knows we had sex."

A source later revealed to Us Weekly that Davidson and Hewitt were "over the moon" about becoming parents. "Pete and Elsie definitely weren't planning on starting a family, but they are absolutely thrilled. They are so excited," the source exclusively shared with Us later in July. "Pete and Elsie share a delightfully playful relationship, and everything is going exceptionally well."

According to the insider, Hewitt's pregnancy has only "deepened their bond" as a couple. The source further emphasized that "this is a healthy relationship for Pete." The comedian has long expressed his desire to be a father, and now, he feels that the timing in his life is perfect. "Pete has always wanted to be a dad, and he believes the timing in his life is just right. He couldn't have done it a few years ago, but he's in a very different place now. He's had an incredible year so far, with two movies soon to be released, another in production, and a return to stand-up comedy," the source added.

Davidson's excitement about fatherhood was evident during his recent press tour for his new movie, The Pickup. "I'm stoked. I can't wait. Let's go," he eagerly declared on Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week. "I'm so excited. I've never been more excited for anything." He even shared a humorous anecdote about receiving parenting advice from his Pickup costar, Eddie Murphy, a father of ten. "Eddie was like, 'I got no advice for you. Because you're on your own,'" Davidson joked. "He said, 'You can't tell anyone how to [be a parent]. You'll do it your own way.'"

Weeks prior, Davidson told Entertainment Tonight that he knew Hewitt would be an exemplary mother. "It's been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby's mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist," he gushed. "I hope to be the dad that I always hoped I would have." Davidson's late father, Scott, a firefighter who tragically died while responding to the September 11th terrorist attacks when Pete was just 7 years old, would undoubtedly be proud of his son's journey into fatherhood.
