The 22-year-old daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates has confirmed her split from Arthur Donald, two years after whispers of their budding relationship first began to circulate. In fact, Phoebe has already moved on and is now seeing someone new.
"It's amazing," she gushed about her current beau during the September 4th episode of her podcast, The Burnouts. "It's the best thing ever. And this is completely uncharted territory for me. I've never been with someone quite like this."
While Phoebe kept the identity of her new flame under wraps, she did offer a glimpse into how they've forged such a strong bond. It turns out, he's someone she can turn to for honest feedback on the content she crafts for her online shopping brand, Phia. "I'm like, 'OK, buddy, take a seat. Let me show you this new video we just dropped on the Phia account because I poured my heart and soul—and a little bit of my left titty's creativity—into producing this thing, alright? So, you're gonna sit here, and you're gonna watch it,'" she joked, recounting their candid conversations about her business. "And he's like, 'OK.'"
The spark between Phoebe, 22, and Arthur, 26, first flickered to life back in October 2023, when Phoebe shared a cozy snapshot of the two enjoying a romantic moment in Paris. Less than a year later, she went public with their romance, posting a heartwarming photo of them celebrating her graduation from Stanford University alongside her parents and siblings, Jennifer, 28, and Rory, 25.
Alongside an adorable shot of Arthur—who is the son of Beatles legend Paul McCartney's daughter, Mary McCartney, and her husband, Alistair Donald—carrying her on his back, Phoebe penned a sweet tribute in a photo diary for Nylon in June 2024. "My boyfriend, Arthur, giving me a lift post-ceremony," she wrote.
For Phoebe, introducing a boyfriend to her family is no small feat—especially when it comes to having him meet her billionaire dad. "I think it's absolutely terrifying for the guy, but for me? It's hilarious," Phoebe admitted on the April 30th episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast. "My dad's pretty socially awkward. But for guys, I think they get really wigged out."
