Natasha Lyonne graces the small screen once more as TV's cherished gumshoe detective in the eagerly anticipated second season of "Poker Face," with the official trailer whetting appetites for the thrills awaiting when the 12-episode run kicks off on May 8 on Peacock (with subsequent weekly episodes to follow). Conceived as an intriguing twist on the timeless "Columbo" formula of a murder-mystery-unraveled-each-week, this weekly mystery series, conceived by Rian Johnson, drew an array of dazzling guest stars for its inaugural season, and the casting team has once again assembled an all-star ensemble for season two.

Having earlier teased glimpses of some of these stars opposite Lyonne, the trailer below unveils an expanded roster of guest actors stepping into Cale's enigmatic world of intrigue. (For those needing a recap, here's where season one left off.)

In alphabetical order, the breathtaking array of guest stars includes Adrienne C. Moore, Alia Shawkat, Awkwafina, Ben Marshall, B.J. Novak, Carol Kane, Cliff "Method Man" Smith, Corey Hawkins, Cynthia Erivo, David Alan Grier, David Krumholtz, Davionte "GaTa" Ganter, Ego Nwodim, Gaby Hoffmann, Geraldine Viswanathan, Giancarlo Esposito, Haley Joel Osment, Jason Ritter, John Cho, John Mulaney, Justin Theroux, Kathrine Narducci, Katie Holmes, Kevin Corrigan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Tom, Lili Taylor, Margo Martindale, Melanie Lynskey, Natasha Leggero, Patti Harrison, Rhea Perlman, Richard Kind, Sam Richardson, Sherry Cola, Simon Helberg, Simon Rex, and Taylor Schilling.

"Poker Face" charts the journey of Lyonne's Charlie, possessed of an extraordinary gift to discern deceit. As she cruises the highways in her Plymouth Barracuda, each pit stop introduces her to a fresh ensemble of characters and bizarre crimes she can't resist unraveling.

Rhea Perlman reprises her role from season one, which concluded with Charlie besting fixer Cliff (Benjamin Bratt) and casino mogul Sterling Frost (Ron Perlman), only to find herself blackmailed by Perlman's fearsome Beatrix Hasp. Given the choice to work for her or face relentless pursuit, Charlie opted for life on the lam, setting the stage for her continued escape in season two.

Here's the season two synopsis from Johnson and Lyonne: "Charlie Cale is back on the lam, and in season two, we elevate her journey, one murder mystery at a time. From minor league baseball parks to sprawling big-box retail stores, from funeral parlors to alligator farms, and even a grade school talent show, Charlie navigates her existential crime-solving road trip with deadpan humor, heartfelt empathy, and her unparalleled lie-detecting prowess."

Taking the reins as showrunner for season two is Tony Tost ("The Terror," "Longmire"), succeeding Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (who are now helming Hulu's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot). He executive produces alongside Johnson and Lyonne—both of whom contribute as writers and directors for the new season—as well as Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, and Nora and Lilla Zuckerman. Johnson's T-Street, MRC, and Lyonne's Animal Pictures are the producing forces behind this captivating series.
