The tragic passing of TikTok personality Emilie Kiser's cherished 3-year-old son, Trigg Kiser, is currently under official scrutiny. A day after Arizona authorities announced Trigg's demise on May 18, following a nearly week-long hospital battle, they affirmed that a formal investigation into the matter is in progress.
"Our hearts ache for the child's family and their loved ones during this inconceivable time of sorrow," stated Chandler Police Department spokesperson Sonu Wasu in a heartfelt message to E! News on May 19. "The probe into the circumstances surrounding this heart-wrenching incident is still ongoing and remains open."
Respecting the family's privacy, Wasu added, "We will refrain from disclosing further details until the investigation concludes."
E! News has made attempts to reach out to the Kiser family for their perspective on this matter.
On May 12, officers responded to a drowning emergency at the content creator's Arizona residence, where they discovered the toddler unconscious after being rescued from a backyard pool, according to KPNX, an NBC affiliate. After emergency responders administered CPR at the scene, Trigg was transported to Chandler Regional Hospital and subsequently to Phoenix Children's Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries six days later, while in critical condition.
Just a day prior to this devastating occurrence, Emilie—who also shares a 2-month-old son named Theodore with her husband Brady Kiser—celebrated Mother's Day by posting a heartwarming video compilation of special moments with her family, capturing the births of her sons and birthday milestones. Alongside the Instagram post, she penned, "Eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a momma."
On the same day, she shared another video on TikTok, reflecting on her journey as a mother of two. "I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this Mother's Day, I have two kids—not just two kids, but two boys," she expressed emotionally.
Emilie further elaborated that while motherhood could be daunting at times, it was also incredibly fulfilling. "Being a mom is undoubtedly the most astonishing experience, yet it's equally terrifying, challenging, breathtakingly beautiful, and amazing—literally a rollercoaster of emotions," she gushed. "I am profoundly grateful to be a mom, truly."
