She's taking the stage, facing the relentless glare of the press, press, press. Cardi B, who is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her baby with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, has unleashed a blistering statement regarding the NFL star's paternity saga involving another woman.
"Hello, Barbara? This is Shirley," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper declared during a recent Instagram Live session, a nod to Shirley Brown's 1974 R&B classic "Woman to Woman," where Brown reaches out to the other woman entangled with her man.
"That's your baby daddy, you b*tch? Well, he's my baby daddy too," Cardi, 32, added with a steely edge. "What now? Damn, I don't have a clue. We'll sort it out, b*tch."
The "Bongos" emcee's remarks come hot on the heels of reports that Diggs, 31, is embroiled in a paternity lawsuit filed by a woman alleging he is the father of her 5-month-old daughter, Charliee.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Aileen Lopera (known as Lord Gisselle on social media) lodged a petition in December 2024 to establish a parental relationship in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles.
The Fashion Nova clothing model, who was pregnant at the time of her filing, named the New England Patriots star as the "parent" of the then-unborn child. Lopera sought sole legal and physical custody of the child, with Diggs granted only visitation rights.
She also demanded that the athlete foot the bill for all her pregnancy and birth expenses, along with her attorney's fees.
In July, Diggs responded to Lopera's paternity suit, stating in the documents that he was "not certain" if he was the father of Charliee, who was born on April 2. He requested a DNA test to ascertain paternity.
A day after the paternity suit made headlines, TMZ released a video of Diggs exiting a hospital, cradling a baby carrier. While the identity of the woman in the video remains unclear, Lopera's attorney exclusively informed Page Six that her client was not featured in the clip.
"I can confirm that is not my client in the video, and no car seat has been provided to her," Lopera's attorney, Tamar Arminak, told Page Six on Friday. "My client eagerly awaits the day when Mr. Diggs finally meets, acknowledges, and provides for the infant daughter they share," Arminak added.
Last week, Cardi announced her pregnancy, revealing she is expecting a baby with the wide receiver. The "Up" rapper is also a devoted mother to daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 1, and son Wave, 3, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Offset.
Cardi filed for divorce from the Migos rapper, 33, last summer. Diggs, too, is a father, allegedly welcoming daughter Nova with ex-Tyler-Marie in October 2016.
