Rachel Reid has gracefully deferred the publication of her anticipated novel, "Unrivaled," the follow-up to "Heated Rivalry," citing personal health struggles. Reid, who bravely battles Parkinson's disease, has recently experienced a deterioration in her symptoms, making the physical task of writing more challenging. Additionally, the increased responsibilities following the television adaptation premiere of "Heated Rivalry" have restricted her writing time.

"Unrivaled" marks the seventh installment in Reid's "Game Changers" series and the third book centered around Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. The series' popular enemies-to-lovers storyline has captivated a dedicated fan base since the initial release of "Heated Rivalry."

The other novels in the "Game Changers" series follow different gay couples within the world of professional hockey.

Reid did not elaborate further but expressed gratitude for readers' patience and support as she prioritizes her health and writing journey.
