Detectives are probing the demise of Florida-based rapper POORSTACY, whose real name was Carlito Mitford Jr., 26, and have detained the woman he was residing with before his passing on Thursday in a child neglect charge, as per police and public records. The performer, known for his fusion of rap with punk rock and heavy metal, and collaborations with Blink-182's Travis Barker, breathed his last on Saturday after an "incident" at a hotel in Boca Raton sent him rushing to Delray Medical Center.

While the cause of death remains under wraps, police have confirmed that Nicole Grikstas, 24, the companion Mitford was staying with at the Boca Raton Quality Inn along with a toddler, has been taken into custody and is currently held in a Palm Beach County jail.
