Ricki Lake has finally opened up about her experience with a facelift following her remarkable weight loss journey. The 57-year-old American television host and actress spoke candidly about her face and neck lift, which she underwent in March 2024, during an episode of The Inside Edit on Monday, March 16. In a heart-to-heart conversation with podcaster and celebrity stylist Maeve Reilly, Lake shared her thoughts on the procedure.

"I told my doctor, Dr. Alan Fouad, who I met through a mutual friend, that I hadn't done any research before impulsively deciding to have my face done," Lake recalled. Despite being relatively unknown compared to other cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Fouad was a "master" at his craft, according to Lake.

The Business of Being Born star admitted that she was sold on the procedure by her friend, who had met with "a dozen doctors all around the country" and even compiled "spreadsheets" for comparison. When Lake saw her friend eight days after her surgery, she was stunned by the transformation. "She looked amazing and was euphoric," Lake said. "She was like a different person – she was just on top of the world."

Inspired by her friend's experience, Lake decided to go under the knife as well. "I had just lost 40 pounds, and I had this, this, this, hanging," she said, gesturing to her neck. "It wasn't just that I didn't like what I saw or wanted to look younger. I have gray hair. It's not about that. It's like I had an appendage hanging that wasn't going to grow back."

In mid-June, Lake immediately booked an appointment with Dr. Fouad for July 18th and "never looked back." She expressed gratitude for the "amazing experience" and looked "flawless" at her event at the Academy Museum just two weeks later.
