The 40-year-old further elaborated, "This experience has been exceptionally heartwarming—it's not merely an experience; it's a way of life." For Jwan, sharing this life with Ricky, who is also the father of 17-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino, has been incredibly enlightening, particularly in terms of understanding his own identity.

"As a queer man raising these kids in today's society, it's been amazing to foster their awareness," he continued. "I often find myself in conversations with them, explaining the diversity of family structures. These discussions are educational for them and provide valuable context for me as a parent."

However, Jwan's ongoing learning journey doesn't detract from the demands of parenting. "It's joyful and glorious, and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it's also incredibly stressful and incredibly rewarding," he explained. "Sometimes they offer nothing, and sometimes they give their all!"

"It's a spectrum of emotions," he shared. "It's the wildest thing I've ever undertaken, and since becoming a parent, I have utmost respect for mine. Though I understand that having children isn't for everyone, I stress the significance of strong parenting for the future."

"I encourage anyone who is willing and desires to have kids to embrace it," he concluded. "There's a crucial role to play here for the sake of children and the upcoming generation."
