"The horrendous and devastating loss of our beloved parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is an unspeakable nightmare that no one should ever have to endure. They were not just our parents; they were our confidantes, our best friends."
Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of the renowned filmmaker and his wife, was taken into custody on Sunday and is being held without bail. The Los Angeles Police Department declared on Monday that Nick Reiner was the culprit behind the homicide of his parents.
After the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner, their son made his first court appearance on Wednesday, charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Nick Reiner's formal arraignment was postponed until January 7 at the request of his attorney, Alan Jackson. The iconic filmmaker Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 70, were found deceased in their Los Angeles home on Chadbourne Avenue.
