Romeo Beckham Calls Out "Unnecessary Lies" Amid Family Drama and Kim Turnbull Breakup

Published: Jun 17 2025

Romeo Beckham, the 22-year-old offspring of David and Victoria Beckham, is embarking on a mission to spread a touch of kindness. Following the recent emergence of rumors linking his ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, to his elder brother Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo took to social media with a poignant message. Just hours after Kim addressed these speculations, Romeo posted a snapshot from the 1953 romantic comedy "Roman Holiday" on his Instagram Stories, on June 16th. In the scene, Audrey Hepburn's character utters the profound line, "What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency."

Accompanying the image, Romeo penned his own heartfelt caption: "Be kind to people and refrain from spreading unnecessary lies."

Earlier that day, Kim had clarified the rumors surrounding her alleged romantic involvement with 26-year-old Brooklyn before dating his younger sibling. "I have never been romantically involved with the person in question in any capacity, at any point," the 24-year-old asserted on her Instagram Stories. "Our connection never extended beyond a school friendship when we were 16."

"I wish to distance myself from this ongoing conversation," she continued, "and set the record straight for the sake of all parties involved."

Elsewhere, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, appear to be fighting rumors of their own amidst reports of tension in their relationship with Brooklyn's parents. Earlier this month, E! News revealed that the couple, who tied the knot in 2022, had enlisted British lawyer Jenny Afi from the prestigious Schillings law firm to take matters into their own hands.

"This is not about reputation management, but about setting the record straight and combating the spread of misinformation," a source familiar with the situation told E! News at the time. "Ironically, the inaccurate reporting underscores the very reason one hires legal counsel—to clarify the truth and counteract deliberate disinformation."
