Rosie O'Donnell is offering the world an intimate glimpse into her remarkable body transformation. Exactly four months after she chronicled her weight loss voyage, aided by Mounjaro—an anti-Type 2 diabetes GLP-1 medication—the former co-host of The View stepped out in style on the red carpet for the London premiere of Burlesque: The Musical. On July 22, Rosie flaunted her slimmer silhouette in snug pants adorned with vibrant graffiti patterns, paired with a sleek black T-shirt. Complementing her ensemble, the 63-year-old donned an oversized twill blazer emblazoned with "New York" across it, accessorizing with chic black boots and coordinating reading glasses.
Rosie embarked on her weight loss journey as early as 2022, when her doctor prescribed Mounjaro, prompting significant dietary changes. In a January 2023 TikTok post, she shared, "At Christmas, I stopped drinking anything but water. I used to consume five or six Diet Cokes daily, but now, it's just water, and I'm cutting down on sugar as much as possible." She recently revealed that the injectable medication has been instrumental in sustaining these lifestyle alterations, which also encompassed "endeavoring to be more active." She attributed her decreased appetite largely to the medication, stating, "My appetite has shrunk considerably—likely due to the meds."
Surprisingly, another factor contributing to her weight loss has been her January 2025 move to Ireland with her youngest child, Clay, 12, whom she shares with her late ex-wife, Michelle Rounds. Speaking about her new abode in a March 20 TikTok video, the actress—also mother to Parker, 30, Chelsea, 27, Blake, 25, and Vivienne, 22—remarked, "I've lost even more weight here." She added, "I continue to take Mounjaro for my diabetes, and one of its side effects is weight loss." In fact, Rosie noted that she had to go shopping in Dublin for pants that "fitted her better."
"I've always struggled with weight issues," she confessed. "And now that I'm a size large instead of an XL or a 2XL, I find it astonishing."
