"RuPaul's Drag Race" sensation Lexi Love has embarked on a journey of self-healing by entering rehab. The 34-year-old Season 17 finalist has stepped into a 30-day rehabilitation program at a prestigious Texas facility, dedicated to addressing substance abuse and emotional well-being. This heartfelt decision was revealed by her manager and confidant, TJ Liedel, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly on May 10th.

Liedel shed light on how past traumas had led Lexi down a troubled path of substance abuse. Although Lexi had openly discussed her earlier battle with meth addiction during her tenure on "RuPaul's Drag Race," her current treatment regimen does not involve addressing meth, with her ultimate aim being complete sobriety. Furthermore, there's a possibility of her enrolling in another 30-day program post her initial treatment phase.

"Lexi's family, friends, and fans are well-aware of the boundless love and radiance she exudes. Confronting these challenges head-on is never easy, and we're immensely proud of her bravery in doing so publicly, serving as an inspiration for countless members of our community," Liedel expressed to EW. He continued, "Unfortunately, society often stigmatizes such struggles, but the path to progress lies in being open, sharing our stories, and actively striving for healthier, happier times. We deeply appreciate everyone's support. Know that Lexi cherishes your encouragement and will soon return stronger than ever. We, too, Lexi Love you."

Liedel's announcement followed closely on the heels of Lexi's Instagram post on Saturday, where she courageously disclosed her rehab stint. "For all you curious cats… I've mustered the courage to prioritize my mental, physical, and emotional health like never before. I'm in rehab and will be away for a while. Brace yourselves for what's to come," she penned. She concluded her message with, "I, Lexi, Love you – even the HATERS."

During Season 17's finale, Lexi tied for third place with Sam Star. On April 21st, she marked the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post, reflecting, "I placed immense importance on the finale's outcome, viewing it as the culmination of my journey since quitting methamphetamines in 2015. However, I've realized that true success lies in the journey itself, not the destination. My voyage continues…" She vowed to focus on the journey rather than the endpoint.

Just days later, on April 27th, Lexi announced via X that she would take a break from performing to nurture her overall well-being. "I'm taking a step back to foster my mental, physical, and emotional health. It's time to reshape my relationship with my inner critic – to understand it, dismantle it, and embrace my strength fully," she wrote. She added, "Upon my return, I'll be ready to conquer the world – bigger, better, and stronger than ever. And to those who doubted me – thank you for reminding me that resilience is a choice, and I choose to rise."
