Russell Wilson is taking charge of the narrative. After the latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents was released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), mentioning Wilson by name, the New York Giants quarterback swiftly set the record straight regarding why his name appeared in the records.
"NO WAY!!! DEFINITELY NOT!" he exclaimed on X Feb. 1. "Not TODAY, Satan! Some random plane broker tried to sell me a plane. I had no idea whose plane it was and never bought it. Never talked to the man, never met him. Thank God for that!"

According to documents released on Jan. 30 and obtained by Us Weekly, the disgraced financier exchanged messages with his personal pilot, Larry Visoski, about Wilson's interest in purchasing his Gulfstream G-IV private jet. In January 2019, Visoski wrote to Epstein, stating that Wilson had been calling "non-stop" after viewing the plane and mentioning the four-year $140 million contract Wilson signed with the Seattle Seahawks that same year.
"Here is the dilemma, according to Russell," Visoski said in the email. "Russell wants to sign his new contract with the Seattle Seahawks before letting the media and his team know that he's purchasing a plane. He's concerned it might affect his contract negotiations for some reason. Russell is asking for a way to lock up the plane until his deal is signed, which could be two weeks, two months, or more."
The emails also mentioned how Wilson was joined by his wife, Ciara, on a test flight, where he took "many photos and videos." Ultimately, the deal never went through.
In fact, the NFL star "never purchased the aircraft," his publicist Stephanie Jones told The Seattle Times on Feb. 1. "Nor was he aware that any aircraft discussed by third parties had any connection to Epstein."
