On Saturday, Sadie Sink graced the city of Austin, Texas, with her presence to unveil her latest cinematic endeavor, "O'Dessa," at the esteemed SXSW festival. The occasion also marked a nostalgic moment for the actress as she reflected on wrapping up the final season of the smash-hit Netflix series, "Stranger Things." The fifth season, which wrapped up filming in December, is geared up for release later this year. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sink revealed, "Though I haven't seen any footage yet, I'm incredibly curious. I anticipate it will be an emotional rollercoaster, and I'm prepared to shed tears alongside everyone else."

The actress candidly admitted to having shed copious tears on the final day of filming for "Stranger Things," reminiscing, "My eyes were so swollen from crying that they had never looked like that before. Some pretty cringe-worthy photos of me with my giant, puffy eyes emerged."

Prior to diving into promotional duties for "Stranger Things," Sink is currently stealing the spotlight in "O'Dessa," a rock opera set against a post-apocalyptic backdrop. She stars in the titular role as O'Dessa, a farm girl who embarks on a quest to retrieve a family heirloom and rescue her true love. Upon first hearing the concept of a "rock opera," Sink expressed, "I was instantly fascinated, but I needed to hear the music first. Once I did, I fell head over heels in love with the character and the musical universe that [writer-director] Geremy [Jasper] had meticulously crafted. It seemed like the ultimate challenge I couldn't resist."

Having started her journey on Broadway and set to return this spring with the play "John Proctor Is the Villain," Sink noted the distinct difference between singing on-screen versus on stage. "It's a world apart. I hadn't sung in almost a decade, so finding a new voice through O'Dessa was thrilling yet daunting. It was both terrifying and incredibly rewarding," she said.

Starring alongside Kelvin Harrison Jr., Regina Hall, and Murray Bartlett, "O'Dessa" will start streaming on Hulu from March 20th.
