Freddie Prinze Jr. is experiencing a new chapter in his life, and it's evident in every aspect of his recent 50th birthday celebrations. The star of "She's All That" stepped out for an evening with his wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar, to mark the occasion on March 8th. For this special event, the couple, who have been married since 2002, hosted a party at Juniper Garden at 1 Hotel in West Hollywood, California, with friends and family in attendance.

Sarah, 48, and Freddie arrived in style, with both opting for a neutral gold color scheme to coordinate their outfits. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum, who recently announced that the Hulu reboot had been canceled, chose a gold sequin minidress and matching gold metallic pointed-toe heels. Meanwhile, Freddie opted for a more casual look with a cream-colored shirt, tan sweater, khakis, and a pair of sneakers.

Despite being together for nearly 25 years and parents to daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13, this outing marked a rare date night for the couple. In fact, the last time they were spotted on a red carpet together was in July for the Los Angeles premiere of their movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

Despite their preference to keep their decades-long relationship out of the spotlight, Sarah and Freddie aren't shy about revealing their tips for a successful marriage. For Sarah, her answer is simple: "Separate bathrooms," she told E! News in January. "That's what I always say."

Freddie has a different perspective on marriage. He believes the best approach is to ignore any outside guidance. "I've never gotten any good advice," he admitted to E! News last July. "Most of the marriage advice came from dudes that were divorced that thought we would get divorced, too. They were trying to deal with their own issues."

Freddie also credits their success to their strategic decision of avoiding typical Hollywood hotspots. "I know how easy it's been for us 'cause I don't go anywhere," he said on the "Oldish" podcast in 2024. "People don't see Sarah and I out and about at the popular places. We have our restaurants that we like, and they're not super trendy in places where paparazzi hang out. So we're good at avoiding it."
