In a hilarious and tongue-in-cheek promotional clip for the upcoming Saturday Night Live (SNL) finale, airing on NBC on May 17th, Scarlett Johansson, the 40-year-old actress, pokes gentle fun at her husband, Colin Jost, evoking laughter with her terror at the mere mention of locking lips with him. Taking on the role of the evening's host, while Bad Bunny serenades as the musical guest, Johansson finds herself amidst a comedic chase through the SNL studios.

The promo captures Johansson in a frenetic dash, evading an unseen monster that haunts her imagination. In her慌乱中, she collides with Jost, 42, who remains calmly composed. With a playful wink, he suggests, "Hey babe, I have a sketch idea for you. Maybe it’s one where we, I don’t know, finally share that kiss." Johansson, turning swiftly to the camera, lets out an exasperated scream, "Noooooooooo!"

At this precise moment, Jost's SNL castmate Sarah Sherman steps in, aiming a dart at his neck. Jost collapses with a loud "Ow!", much to Johansson's relief. "Thanks, Sarah," she gratitudes, to which Sherman replies with a grin, "Anytime, Scarlett!" Johansson's concern briefly flares as she asks, "That was just a tranquilizer, right?" Sherman responds cryptically, referencing Jost's Weekend Update cohost Michael Che, "Oh, I have no idea. Che just handed this to me and said, ‘Take care of Jost.’"

In an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair, Johansson hinted at a potential revenge plot against Che, 41, for using her as a punchline on Weekend Update. The cohosts have a long-standing joke tradition where they read out crude jokes from a teleprompter without prior knowledge. Recently, SNL's cameras captured Johansson's shocked reaction as Jost delivered one of Che's daring punchlines.

During a broadcast in December, Jost quipped, "Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu. But I ain’t trippin'. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid." Johansson recounted her astonishment to Vanity Fair, saying, "I had all these cameras on me. I didn’t expect the setup to be like that. I was like, ‘Wow, you really are seventh-, eighth-grade boys.’" She added, "I feel like it’s almost my responsibility to come up with some way to retaliate against Michael. Retaliation is definitely in order. I believe others on the show would support this desire. Know what I mean?"

Jost and Johansson tied the knot in October 2020 and share a 3-year-old son named Cosmo. Johansson is also the mother of a 10-year-old daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.

In a January appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jost admitted that his wife was "genuinely so shocked" by the risqué joke during their holiday "joke swap" with Che. "I was, obviously, surprised by everything, but they gave her a heads-up," Jost revealed. "They were like, ‘Hey, would you be OK if Michael made a little, like, kind of vagina joke at some point?’" According to Jost, Johansson was "open to it," but the joke ended up being far from what either of them anticipated. "I didn’t know where it was going and then the graphic came up for Arby’s," Jost recalled. "Scarlett was backstage, like, ‘Oh, my God, that’s what it is?’"
