Sean "Diddy" Combs' spokesperson is addressing the latest gossip swirling around the disgraced music mogul, who has allegedly been caught indulging in homemade alcohol while serving his time in prison. The incident, which took place shortly after his relocation to a different facility, was reported by TMZ on Friday, November 7th.

According to the report, Combs, currently incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) in New Jersey, was caught with a concoction made from Fanta soda, sugar, and apples, which was left to ferment for two weeks. While officials initially considered moving Combs, 56, to a new unit after this incident, they ultimately decided to let him stay put.

Combs' spokesperson responded to the report with a statement to PEOPLE, stating: "There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs. He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously." The statement further emphasized that this is only Combs' first week at FCI Fort Dix and that rumors will undoubtedly surface during his time there. "We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace."

A statement shared on Combs' official X account on Saturday, November 8th, echoed this sentiment, calling the report "completely false." It read: "The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family."

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in July. He was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn (MDC), where he had been held since his 2024 arrest, to FCI Fort Dix on October 30th. The following day, the first photo of Combs in prison was released, showing the disgraced music mogul in the yard of the facility.

Combs' legal team had requested his transfer from MDC to the New Jersey facility, a low-security prison located on a military base about 40 miles outside Philadelphia. They complained about the conditions at MDC and specifically requested Fort Dix because it has better access to drug rehabilitation programs. "In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix," Combs' attorney, Teny Geragos, wrote at the time. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who sentenced Combs, has recommended that Combs be considered for any available substance-abuse program.
