Shakira is bouncing back from a recent concert mishap with remarkable resilience. The iconic singer of "Waka Waka" encountered an unexpected slip during a stop on her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" Tour in Montreal, Canada, deviating momentarily from her meticulously rehearsed choreography. A video clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) on May 20th captured the 48-year-old artist apparently losing her footing while belting out her 2001 hit "Whenever, Wherever." Remarkably, she swiftly regained her balance and seamlessly continued the performance, showcasing her impressive agility.

Shakira, who co-parents her children Milan, 12, and Sasha, 10, with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, seemed to brush off the incident with a lighthearted attitude. She reposted a snippet of the slip on her Instagram Stories, which has since expired, but a screen recording of it circulated on X. Alongside the footage, she penned in Spanish, "Because even the best of us aren't spared from the occasional stumble!"

Since launching her global tour in Brazil in February, Shakira has navigated a series of unforeseen challenges. One notable hurdle was an illness that compelled her to cancel a show in Peru. "I regret to inform you all that I had to visit the emergency room last night due to an abdominal issue," she revealed in an Instagram Stories post from her hospital bed. "The doctors attending to me have advised that I'm not in suitable condition to perform tonight." The concert was subsequently rescheduled for November 15th.

Earlier this month, following a performance in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Shakira faced another unexpected twist. The New Jersey Department of Health issued a press release warning the public about a "newly identified case of measles" involving a non-resident attendee who was infectious during the show. The department also urged residents to be vigilant about the symptoms of this highly contagious virus and to ensure their vaccinations are current.
