When approached by THR for comment, HBO declined to offer any insights. Stone, a former Oscar nominee, would mark a significant addition to the upcoming season of Euphoria, given her storied career spanning decades and featuring prominent roles in iconic films such as Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Sliver, and Martin Scorsese's Casino. More recently, she shared the screen with Bob Odenkirk in Universal's Nobody 2, the sequel to the 2021 surprise hit slated for a theatrical release on August 15, 2025. Stone is represented by Independent Artist Group and Brecheen Feldman.

Earlier this week, HBO announced the commencement of production for the third season after a nearly three-year hiatus. Alongside this revelation, several new cast additions were officially unveiled, including NFL-turned-actor Marshawn Lynch (Love Hurts), Grammy Award winner Rosalia, Kadeem Hardison (The Chi, A Different World), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Suicide Squad), Toby Wallace (FX's Pistol), Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Darrell Britt-Gibson, and Anna Van Patten. Notably, Akinnouye-Agbaje and Wallace will become series regulars, while the others will assume "notable" guest roles, as confirmed by HBO.

Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who had recurring roles in the second season, have been promoted to regular status for the upcoming installment. Domingo, meanwhile, returns as a guest star. Season three promises a temporal leap, propelling the younger characters beyond their high school years. Although a premiere date remains undisclosed, fans anticipate the new season to air sometime in 2026.

Initially breaking the news of Stone's casting, The InSneider newsletter has set the stage for further excitement surrounding the return of Euphoria.
