Daniel Francis, a star of Steve McQueen's acclaimed Small Axe anthology series and a fresh addition to the highly anticipated third season of Netflix's hit Bridgerton, has secured a role in the upcoming horror thriller Don’t Move, a collaboration between Sam Raimi's Raimi Productions, Christian Mercuri's Capstone Studios, and Alex Lebovici's Hammerstone Studios. Headlined by Kelsey Asbille, renowned for her roles in Yellowstone, Fargo, and Wind River, and Finn Wittrock, who has captivated audiences in American Horror Story, The Big Short, and La La Land, the casting news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter during the Cannes Film Festival.
The film centers on a seasoned assassin who injects a mourning woman with a paralyzing agent, thrusting her into a relentless battle to run, fight, and hide before her bodily functions completely cease. According to THR, Francis, who also shone in Netflix's Harlan Coben thriller Stay Close, will embody the character of a police officer in this feature, helmed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, directors who recently oversaw episodes of Raimi's horror anthology 50 States of Fright.
Penned by T.J. Cimfel and David White, who also authored the Blumhouse horror-thriller There’s Something Wrong With The Children, currently in post-production for a release next year, Don’t Move promises to deliver a chilling narrative. Raimi, Lebovici, and Zainab Azizi are producing the film, with Sarah Sarandos (Uncut Gems) taking on the role of executive producer.
Capstone Studios is financing the project, with Capstone Global overseeing the worldwide rights. Francis is represented by the Identity Agency Group, ensuring his talents continue to resonate across various platforms.
