Sombr, the man who knows how to leave an indelible mark on at least one person's mind, recently addressed a social media video that went viral. In this clip, a creator aired her scathing review of his recent concert, dubbing the October 13th event in Washington, D.C., as "one of the worst experiences" of her life.

Sombr Responds to Fan Who Called His Concert

"It has come to my attention that there's a TikTok drama brewing," Sombr announced in a video posted on the platform on October 19th. "A 25-year-old attended my concert and basically complained that there were too many tweens in the audience, I was making too many 'brain rot' jokes, and she thought it was a cringe-worthy concert."

Sombr (real name Shane Michael Boose) further alleged that the user's comments about his appearance had sparked a "massive body-shaming hate train" against him before he defended himself against her criticisms. "I totally respect people having opinions, but I am a 20-year-old artist—freshly 20," he continued. "If you're 25 years old and you come to my concert expecting not to see people younger than you, when I, the artist, am five years younger than you, it's simply a skill issue."

The musician insisted that his style of humor shouldn't have come as a surprise to his audience, citing his goofy online presence. "Anyone who knows me knows I've never uttered a serious word in my life," he explained. "And I make jokes for five minutes of the concert and the rest is music. Live a little."

Regarding his young fans, Sombr stated that "every age, sex, sexuality, gender [and] race" is welcome to attend his performances before sarcastically running his hands over a patch of artificial turf, seemingly urging the user to "touch grass"—in other words, to take a break from the internet. "You guys need to find problematic people to hate on," he declared, "because I am just existing."
