After her recent social media post debunking rumors that she and ex-partner Braxton Berrios were rekindling their romance, she shared her thoughts behind the viral clip with E! News at the Clarins 'THE NIGHT OF EXTRA' event, celebrating the launch of the brand's new Extra-Firming Energy Moisturizer. "I was feeling silly and thought, 'You know what, this is kind of funny. Let’s see how it goes,'" she said. "And it was well received, thank God."
As for whether the influencer, who called it quits with Braxton in 2023, has a new flame in her life, she revealed, "I just started dating again. I took a solid four or five months off, and I think I might have a crush. I don't know."
Her comments about her love life come days after popular Instagram account DeuxMoi posted a since-deleted photo that suggested Sophia had been seen in New York City alongside the Houston Texans wide receiver. In a March 11 TikTok video, she jokingly wrote, "If anyone sees me in another city, please let me know so I can pack." In the clip, the 29-year-old can be seen typing in front of a screen to locate her whereabouts before glancing out her window at soaring palm trees, proving that she was not in New York City as suggested in the alleged image.
Rumors surrounding Sophia and Braxton's relationship status began to swirl after Alix and the pro athlete ended their nearly two-year romance. Following the split, Alix has been candid about the difficulties of navigating her breakup in the spotlight. In a Dec. 13 TikTok video, she explained, "It just kinda feels like we're on two different paths right now and it sucks. We're on good terms and I don't want anyone to come for him or be mean to him or say it's because he couldn't make it to Dancing with the Stars. Because he couldn't come because of football."
Admitting her hope for Braxton to find a partner who can support his busy football career, Alix added, "It's not drama. It's not because he did anything wrong or I did anything wrong. It just didn't really feel like it was working out, in the moment."
