Law enforcement authorities have revealed that police are scrutinizing excessive speed as a potential contributing factor in the fatal accident that resulted in the tragic loss of Sophia Hutchins, a long-standing friend and manager to Caitlyn Jenner. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in their communication with Daily Mail, Hutchins was likely exceeding the speed limit in her all-terrain vehicle as she navigated a winding Malibu road on Wednesday. This occurred while ascending a steep hill and attempting to overtake a Mazda sedan.
During this maneuver, Hutchins' vehicle made contact with the rear of the Mazda, causing her to lose control and veer off the road. She subsequently plummeted 350 feet down a cliff. Though there were two individuals inside the Mazda, miraculously, neither sustained any injuries.
As earlier reported, emergency personnel raced to the scene and braved the treacherous cliffside in a desperate bid to rescue Hutchins. However, their efforts were in vain, as she was pronounced deceased at the location.
On Thursday, images emerged of Caitlyn, captured purchasing a cup of coffee in Malibu. Despite her immense grief, she seemed to maintain composure.
Caitlyn and Sophia's friendship began in 2015, shortly after Caitlyn's public transition. Sophia went on to feature prominently in several episodes of the E! docuseries "I Am Cait" and eventually took on the role of Caitlyn’s manager, skillfully orchestrating her public engagements and business endeavors. Sophia was 29 years old at the time of her passing.
