Sophie Turner has no immediate plans to relocate back to the United States anytime in the near future. After parting ways with her ex-husband, Joe Jonas, in 2023, the former 'Game of Thrones' star bid adieu to America, choosing instead to return to the comforting embrace of her native England. Since then, she hasn't harbored any second thoughts about her decision. "I feel so at ease here," Sophie revealed in an interview with Flaunt, published on August 22. "The thought of moving again fills me with dread."
The 29-year-old mother of two—Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, who she shares with Jonas Brothers' singer Joe Jonas—shared during the interview how her time across the Atlantic Ocean has given her a fresh perspective on the life she once left behind. "Living in the States, I didn't fully grasp the significance of having friends and family by my side until I was separated from them," she continued thoughtfully. "Returning home has filled me with an immense appreciation for them."
Joe's divorce filing ignited a tense custody dispute between the estranged couple. Although they reached a settlement in October 2023, Sophie later voiced her regret over the turmoil their children had to endure. "I'm dissatisfied with how everything unfolded, particularly concerning my children," she confessed to British Vogue in May 2024. "They are the unwitting victims in all of this. But I believe we're doing our best. I'm confident we'll figure it out. Joe is an exemplary father to our daughters, and that's all I could ever ask for."
Indeed, Joe recently echoed Sophie's sentiments, highlighting their shared commitment to their daughters. "I have a wonderful coparenting relationship that I'm deeply grateful for," he shared with Jay Shetty during a stop on Jay's On Purpose Live Tour in May. "Having an incredible mom like Sophie for those girls is like living a dream."
